Saba entered the South American country in 2004 and the company’s objective from the moment operations began was to integrate high-quality car parks, with a privileged location and an optimal degree of maturity.
The consolidation of Saba as the country’s leading operator and the growth in all areas of the business make sense of the desire to diversify geographically that the company has been stating explicitly year after year. Similarly, the business development project supports the objective of establishing cutting-edge innovation and new commercial strategies to digitize car parks, such as the pioneering drive to the TAG system to speed up entry to car parks, renovation of the facilities (in terms of lighting, efficiency, painting and signage) and the renewal of the website to offer e-commerce products as well.
The company has intensified its presence in recent years, in addition to the concessions sector, in areas such as shopping centres , leading major hospitals and management of the car parking for Santiago de Chile’s Arturo Merino Benítez Airport.
A highlight among the latest operations is the launch of the Mercado Urbano Tobalaba car park, with 1,197 spaces, in Santiago de Chile, and the signature of the car park management contract for the Open Santa Julia shopping mall, with 500 spaces, in Viña del Mar. Likewise, the company was awarded the contract for the management of the Terrazas San Cristóbal car park in Santiago de Chile. It also expanded the car park management contract at the Santiago de Chile Airport (6,652 spaces).
